| In the art department, there are scores of test cups. Each one filled with a slightly different mix of resins and plasticizers. Many are then painted or colored. These are then tested for flexibility (does the paint crack or come off?) and color fastness (does the color fade over time or in the sun?). In fabrication, new glues have just been tested for usability and safety (low VOC’s). One of 3M’s new products has tested well. |

In the machine shop, the are using the latest “robot” servos. These feature titanium gears and are twice the strength of the stock servos being installed just last year.
